Agreement to Terms

By accessing or using Missed Connections ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you disagree with any part of these terms, you may not access the Service.

Use of Service

Missed Connections is a platform for posting a missed connection, lost & found, looking for…, or let’s do something, and for connecting with people in your city. You agree to use the Service only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms.

User Accounts

To use certain features of the Service, you may be required to create an account. You agree to:

Provide accurate, current, and complete information
Maintain and update your information as necessary
Maintain the security of your account credentials
Accept responsibility for all activities under your account

User Conduct

You agree NOT to:

Post content that is offensive, discriminatory, or illegal

Content Guidelines

When posting content on Missed Connections, you agree that your posts:

Are truthful and based on real situations
Respect the privacy and dignity of others
Do not contain personal contact information (phone numbers, addresses)
Are appropriate for a public platform
Do not contain explicit, violent, or harmful content
Are not official missing-person reports (contact local police or 9-1-1 instead)

Intellectual Property

The Service and its original content, features, and functionality are owned by Missed Connections and are protected by international copyright, trademark, patent, trade secret, and other intellectual property laws.

By posting content on the Service, you grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use, display, and distribute your content on the Service for as long as you choose to keep it posted. This license ends when you delete the content or your account, except that messages you have sent may remain with their recipients as described in our Privacy Policy.

Privacy

Prohibited Uses

You may not use the Service:

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Missed Connections from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses arising out of or in any way connected with your use of the Service or violation of these Terms.

Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws in your province and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein, without regard to conflict of law provisions.

Changes to Terms
